Dear Customers,
As you may know, the Higher Ferry recently had a maintenance period of approximately 14 days
During this period of maintenance, the Higher Ferry was scheduled to undergo its 5 year out of water inspection involving the Maritime and Coastguard Agency. Unfortunately this aspect of our refit could not go ahead during this time, due to Storm Eowyn.
because it is a legal requirement, it will be necessary to close the Ferry again, so that the out of water inspection can take place.
The Higher Ferry will continue to run up to and including the 26th of February. The Ferry will then close from the 27th of February, until the 6th of March, so that the construction of the cradle can take place on the Dartmouth slipway. The Higher Ferry will then have its out of water hull inspection on the 1st March 2025
Please note, this work is weather and tide dependent.
We do apologise for the inconvenience and disruption that this additional period of closure will cause our customers & thank them for their continued patience and understanding.
Thank you
Christian McHale
Ferry Manager.
