We are currently in the early planning stages of our refit for 2027
During this period as always the ferry will undergo vital maintenance and have its annual Maritime & Coastguard Agency Inspection, which is a legal requirement.
Historically the Higher Ferry both current and its predecessor have always held their annual maintenance period at the beginning of the year in January or February.
This is something we shall continue to do moving forward.
New this year for transparency and to hopefully save on any future confusion.
Around this time each year and moving forward, we will publish the dates for the refit on the following year. below you find an example of this which contains the preliminary dates for the 2027 refit period.
The refit dates for your diary are Monday 18th January – 1st February 2027 inclusive.
